Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect personal data across our websites and products.

Last updated

Placeholder document. This page exists so the site has no broken links. It is not legal advice and must be replaced with a reviewed policy before launch.

Who we are

Fortlyn is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Our registered office is in Prague, Czech Republic, with a second establishment in Lusaka, Zambia.

Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@fortlyn.io.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and to keep the site working.

  • Information you submit through the contact or newsletter forms — name, work email, organisation, country and your message.
  • Technical data your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
  • Preferences stored locally in your browser, such as your light or dark theme choice.

Why we process it

We rely on legitimate interest to respond to business enquiries, on consent for marketing emails, and on legal obligation where retention is required by law.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for 24 months from your last contact with us unless a commercial relationship makes a longer period necessary. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with processors who help us operate — hosting, email delivery and CRM — each under a data processing agreement, and with authorities where we are legally required to.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and equivalent Zambian data protection law you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may also complain to your supervisory authority.

  • Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — deletion where we have no overriding lawful basis to keep it.
  • Objection — to processing based on legitimate interest, including direct marketing.

International transfers

Data may be processed in the European Economic Area and in Zambia. Transfers outside the EEA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated to anyone with an active relationship with us.
